An informational initiative, not an insurance sales operation
Versicherungsverein Rasselstein publishes plain-language information about burial and funeral cost provision for readers in Andernach and the wider Rhineland. We explain concepts; we do not sell products.
Why we exist
Funeral costs are rarely discussed until a family is already under pressure. We started this project to change that timing — to give people a calm space to read and understand the subject before decisions have to be made quickly.
Our name references the German tradition of the “Versicherungsverein”, a mutual association built around shared provision. We use it to describe our approach to information: collective, transparent, and free of sales pressure, rather than as a claim to be a licensed insurance carrier.
The principles behind every page
Clarity first
We write for readers without an insurance background, avoiding jargon wherever a plainer word will do.
Independence
We do not accept commission or payment tied to any specific insurer, and this site offers no paid services.
Dignity
Funeral planning touches on grief and loss. We try to write about it with the care that subject deserves.
From question to understanding

Simplify
Complex policy language is rewritten in terms a first-time reader can follow.

Content goes live on this website, free to read, with no login or paywall involved.
Rooted in the Rhineland
Our office sits on Koblenzer Straße in Andernach, a town along the Rhine with a long tradition of community associations. That local grounding shapes the examples and context we use throughout the site, even as the underlying concepts apply more broadly.
